Bluesky Pastoral Company are currently breeding around 12 foals a year
through natural service and embryo transplantation.
Our breedng program has been established for some 20 years, and we are currently fielding some teams with a grandmother, mother and daughter playing together!
The strength of our breeding program has resulted in the breeding of many of our top ponies and also our own stallion Riverkid.
To ensure the diversity of our bloodlines,
we use outside stallions* with some mares,
as well as buying in ponies or broodmares with a
similar type and appeal as our own breed.
Over the coming years, our embryo program is set to increase as a way of ensuring our top playing ponies breed through as many foals as possible.
